POSITION SUMMARY Brevard Health Alliance (BHA), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. The Financial Analyst will support day-to-day financial and accounting functions, assist with grant reporting and compliance, and provide analytical support to improve financial decision-making. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills and a commitment to serving underserved communities through financial stewardship and operational excellence.
GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial Analysis:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
Support the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial models
Assist in year-end audit preparation and documentation
Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
Collaborate with department managers to provide financial insights and reporting
Perform ad hoc financial analyses and reporting as required by the Controller
Ensure compliance with FQHC-specific financial guidelines and reporting requirements
Grant Management:
Ensure adherence to all grant requirements, regulations, and guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Monitor budgets to ensure that spending aligns with the approved grant budget.
Track expenditures and ensure they comply with grant rules.
Prepare and submit timely progress, financial, and final reports to funders.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting data and narrative descriptions.
