Overview: Staxmatic is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful execution of Mechanical and Plumbing projects. This role ensures project documentation, schedules, subcontractor compliance, and procurement activities are well-managed. The Project Engineer bridges Commercial, Construction, and Operations teams to maintain alignment on project goals, timelines, and safety standards, while supporting cost control and close-out processes.

Provided PPE, iPhone, & iPadDuties and Responsibilities:
Organize, track, and maintain all project documents, including contracts, submittals, and compliance records
Support subcontractor recruitment, onboarding, and qualification reviews
Collaborate with the legal team to manage subcontractor agreements and risk compliance
Ensure each job site is staffed with qualified subcontractors and track crew presence
Maintain and organize Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documentation and ensure compliance
Assist with managing project schedules, updates, and critical path monitoring
Coordinate and track shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals with internal and external stakeholders
Support procurement activities, including material tracking and vendor coordination
Assist project managers with budget tracking, cost reporting, and change order documentation
Collaborate with Operations in project close-outs, cost estimates, and engineering bills of materials to ensure their accuracy and completeness
Provide support to project schedule, this includes schedule maintenance and utilizing Gannt chart
Attend project meetings; prepare and distribute minutes according to standard format and follow-up on action items
Other duties and projects as assignedRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or other related fields.
3-5 years of experience in commercial construction and/or MEP/HVAC and infrastructure design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Civil 3D. Experience with surveying is a plus.
Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems in MEP/HVAC and infrastructure design.
Mathematical proficiency for quick on-site calculations.
Effective time management in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
