ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:

The Engineering intern is appointed by, receives authority from, and reports to the Global Product Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Engineering intern position provides hands-on experience in medical device development, design, and manufacturing, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to projects that support product improvement, cost optimization, and global expansion. The internship will focus on projects lead by the Engineering department aligning with the most current business priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties & responsibilities of the Engineering Intern include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

Support engineering activities.

Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Work with manufacturing to implement operational and sourcing cost saving initiatives.

Take an active role in projects, and continuous improvement activities.

Develop and complete engineering drawings with SolidWorks.

Help prepare and maintain technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, test protocols, and reports.

Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and cross-functional team collaborations.

Promote safety within a manufacturing environment.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of high school education & completed one year of college, and actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar degree program.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works)
