What Youll Do
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and scientists through all phases of process development.
Oversee design, modeling, and optimization of uranium enrichment and gas handling systems.
Approve critical engineering deliverables: process flow diagrams, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and safety analyses.
Guide the development of process models using tools such as ChemCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, Fortran, Python, and Excel.
Ensure compliance with rigorous process safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Support installation, commissioning, and testing of process components from pilot to production scale.
Serve as the primary technical liaison with external partners, customers, and regulatory bodies.
Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
What Youll Bring
Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
10+ years of experience in process engineering, including hands-on system design and operations.
5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
Expertise in chemical process dynamics, simulation, gas handling, and technical documentation.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-clearance (active clearance preferred).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
Familiarity with UF6 processing, enrichment cascades, and nuclear regulatory frameworks.
Experience with ISA, PHA, and NRC licensing requirements.
Background in handling cryogenics, corrosive gases, and vacuum systems.
Capital project management and budgeting experience.
Proficiency with CAD, FEA, or Multiphysics simulation tools.
Experience in classified or highly regulated technical environments.
