Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced EH&S Manager to lead our Environmental Health & Safety initiatives across all divisions. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and internal policies, while fostering a culture of safety that aligns with our SPIRIT values.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and strategic thinker who can engage with team members at all levels, develop, implement, and maintain structured safety programs, and drive continuous improvement in our safety practices—especially within production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies, programs, and procedures
Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments; analyze findings and recommend improvements
Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders on safety matters
Oversee the company’s safety program, including OSHA compliance, SDS management, and safety committee leadership
Manage emergency preparedness plans, including disaster recovery and evacuation procedures
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as OSHA, GHS, HAZCOM, REACH, RoHS, and Prop 65
Lead the PPE program and maintain a comprehensive safety training calendar; deliver training as needed
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
7 + years of experience in safety and compliance roles
3 + years of experience in management roles
3 + years of experience in a production environment
Experience with global compliance standards such as GHS, REACH, RoHS, and Prop 65
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Proven organizational leadership and project management abilities
Ability to travel occasionally
Preferred:
Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field
Experience managing maintenance and/or facilities
