Director of Finance

My client has a great opportunity for someone looking for a role as the Director of Finance of their company, based in Mclean, VA. The ideal candidate selected for the Director of Finance position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, supervising a small team, providing oversight to the general accounting procedures, leading the corporate financial consolidation process, completing the SEC financial reporting, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, reviewing reconciliations, leading team through the month-end close, producing financial statements for leadership and having familiarity with SEC regulations. Daily responsibilities of the Director of Finance include:

· Lead team to complete month-end close.

· Assist with maintaining compliance with SEC.

· Oversee daily accounting procedures.

· Preparation of financial statements.

· Review various account reconciliations.

· Provides analysis of internal financial reports.

· Manage accounting staff.

Qualifications:

The ideal Director of Finance we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

· 10+ years of technical accounting experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

· Experience in public accounting or audit experience, a plus.

· Experience with SEC reporting and consolidations.

· Communicate effectively to leadership.

· CPA, a plus.
