The Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission is seeking a Section Clerk to work in our Maintenance Department – Kunkle Maintenance Building- Western Division.

Examples of Duties
JOB DUTIES
•Processes administrative work, greets visitors, and communicates via email and phone with other departments, vendors, and service contractors.
•Maintains hard-copy and electronic employee field files, vehicle and equipment service and repair records, and records regarding work activities, work-zones, etc.
•Maintains inventory record of materials and supplies for the respective Section, including ordering, inspecting, receiving, storing and issuing.
•Process and complete Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for materials, parts, supplies, and services.
•Review daily time entries and input employees time into Business ERP (Aptean) as needed.
•Opens, maintains, and closes recoverable work orders, including documentation, time, material, and equipment entries.
•Monitors time and attendance, stock, purchase orders, contracts and work orders.
•Maintain Purchase Card purchases, including proper entry, documentation, and monthly reconciliations.
•Assists employees with the use of electronic timekeeping software.
•Assists the Section Supervisor with organization of day-to-day operations through the use of Excel spreadsheets, digital forms, and computer database entries.
•Administers the flow of paperwork for both hard-copy and/or digital signature.
•Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Section Supervisor.
MAJOR WORKER CHARACTERISTICS
•Knowledge of office practices and procedures, inventory control, and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and safety practices.
•Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
•Handle routine and sensitive inquiries from vendors, contactors, officials, customers and the general public.
•Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions.
•Gather, collate and classify information about data, people or things.
•Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
•Familiarity with agency codes, regulations and specifications.
•Knowledge and proficiency of the current standard operating procedures (SOPs) and industry standard practices related to inventory control, purchasing, timekeeping, recoverable work orders, document retention, and other administrative tasks.
•Ability to carry out detailed instructions in written or oral form.
•Attention to detail and ability to complete documentation and forms accurately.
•Proficiency in office practices and the use of computer equipment and programs including electronic timekeeping (Kronos), Business ERP (Aptean), Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Typical Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or GED.
•Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds frequently.
•One (1) year experience in an office setting.
•Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
•Prior experience or training in office practices and procedures required.
•Prior supervisory experience preferred.
•Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
Supplemental Information
Work Location and Unusual Working Conditions
Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission, Kunkle Maintenance Building – Williams County, Milepost 16.0 Eastbound.
•May be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dirt, grease, dust, unpleasant odors, and loud noises while working in cold storage or outdoors.
•Some climbing of ladders or scaffolding is required to reach tall storage areas.
•Required to travel throughout the distance of the Ohio Turnpike.
•Available for scheduled overtime and call-outs.
