Description

The Testing Specialist ensures the smooth operation of testing services by managing registration, proctoring exams, maintaining testing environments, and securing test materials. This role supports a variety of standardized and institutional tests, ensures compliance with testing protocols, and maintains accurate records and secure file management.

Job Duties

Prepare the testing center for exams, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment by sanitizing desks, keyboards, chairs, and lockers.

Proctor a range of tests including GED, CLEP, HESI, TSIA2, NHA, ETS, TCFP, PearsonVue, and TVCC course tests.

Scan and manage score reports (e.g., TSIA2, ACT, SAT, AP) using Image software/Perceptive Content.

Collect and enter HESI results into the Colleague system, scan score reports into the school database, and maintain a central "Honesty Policy" file.

Manage and update testing applications and materials as needed.

Maintain and distribute daily testing schedules using Register Blast software.

Monitor PearsonVue testing hours, manage site messages, resource assignments, and service tickets; maintain PearsonVue “History files.”

Assist in updating and troubleshooting computer applications and perform minor maintenance on lab computers.

Ensure secure management of test materials, including passwords and testing documents/booklets.

Provide receptionist duties including greeting visitors, answering phone and email inquiries, and routing calls and mail.

Maintain accurate examinee sign-in logs, check photo IDs, and log students for online exams.

Maintain office procedures in the absence of the Testing Coordinator, including managing office supplies and maintaining filing and recordkeeping systems.

Update public test date information and keep bulletin boards current.

Perform general administrative tasks such as typing correspondence and memoranda.

Work assigned schedule and comply with timekeeping policy.

Maintain confidentiality of information.

Other duties as assigned by appropriate supervisory personnel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma/GED

PREFERRED:

Associate degree

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

One (1) year secretarial/clerical experience or one (1) year customer service

PREFERRED:

One (1) year testing experience
