Description

The Coordinator of User Experience participates in managing the circulation desk and contributes to the overall operation and functions of Research and Instruction Services. This position’s duties include research support services, collection development, instruction, and supporting other library services.

Provide research assistance in a variety of formats (i.e., virtual, email, in-person, etc.).

Manage the Circulation Supervisor

Develop and conduct information literacy workshops incorporating new technologies and techniques for instruction and research.

Support the curriculum by acting as liaison to designated academic departments, focusing on outreach and collection development of materials in all formats.

Stay current with academic research trends, technology and resources to effectively support research and instruction.

Participate in creating training programs and for circulation and research desk operations

Create and maintain research guides, videos, tutorials, quizzes, and other instructional materials

Work occasional weekends and evenings as needed

Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

Master's degree in Library and Information Science (or equivalent) from an ALA-accredited institution

1+ years of experience in an academic library (Public library experience will be considered)

Supervisory experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Skills:

Experience with instruction, both online and in-person.

Experience with library public services

Experience with providing research support services, both in-person and online.

Familiarity or willingness to engage with trends and services in academic libraries

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing.

Experience working in a collaborative environment.

Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Preferred:

Background or experience health sciences or business research support

Experience with Springshare products
