Summary:

Experienced Quality Inspector with a strong background in dimensional and visual weld inspection, including supplier performance inspections and the preparation of detailed inspection reports. Skilled in interpreting mechanical technical drawings and using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances.

Proficient in conducting inspections at supplier sites, identifying non-conformities, and supporting corrective actions. Experienced in using and interpreting Quality Inspection Plans (ITPs) and capable of preparing data books and documentation packages when required. Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Procurement to uphold quality standards throughout the production and supply chain. Committed to continuous improvement and compliance with international quality standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, AWS).

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspection of parts from vendor according to technical specifications.

Analysis of parts returned from customer with (RMA).

Open non-conformity records for non-conformity parts and work together with engineering, buyer and/or vendor to create NCR disposition.

Monitoring NCRs; open and follow up with tasks.

Measure instruments; calibration control.

Dimensional and test running inspection over some equipment at the vendor site.

Customer video call inspection in the Andritz site or vendor.

Creating and maintaining a Data Book for equipment

Assisting with inventory

Implementation/Updating 5S activities across manufacturing sites.

Vendor and safety audits

Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions

Write reports to document deficiencies and errors of products

Organize written processes and flows for ISO

Participate in root cause analysis and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Create ITP’s

Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, AWS).

Support internal and external audits as required.

Support safety audits when necessary

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a QC role

Proven experience as a quality control inspector in the same industry preferred

Proficient in computer word processing and Microsoft Office applications

Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards

Knowledge in measuring instruments, such as gauges, calipers, taper, profilometer, durometer, indicator, micrometer, threads gauges, etc.

Reading mechanical drawings with geometric dimension and tolerances.

Ability to accurately inspect visual and dimensional welding.

Ability to accurately inspect paint.

Proficient in creating and managing dimensional reports and check lists for equipment.

Jigs Validation (poka-yoke)

Root cause analysis and improve the procedures based on the findings and action plan.

Develop procedures in the manufacturing process and field services.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of SAP system

Knowledge of Standard ISO 9001

Knowledge of Standard ISO 14001

Knowledge of Standard ISO 45001

Dye penetrant test
