Construction Loan Analyst - Bronx, NY
About the Role
Analyzes, organizes, initiates, and processes the setup and maintenance of construction loans.
Responsibilities
Reviews signed loan documentation on new construction loans for consistency with loan approval.
Ensures accuracy and integrity of loan data: set-up information, including all necessary codes and risk rating assignments; makes corrections as necessary.
Tracks missing loan documentation and communicates with the appropriate internal and external contacts for resolution.
Prepares credit facility memorandums as needed.
Prepare portfolio reports for management.
Assist with pre-screening of prospects, and maintain all prospect documentation and files.
Secures documents for construction requisitions and loan documents for adherence to contractual obligations.
Assists with disbursements on construction loans to include ordering title rundowns, inspections, and determine available funds for disbursement based upon bank policy.
Prepare documentation for advances on lines of credit.
Monitors project budget adequacy.
Informs Construction Lending Manager of needed budget reallocations.
Works with auditors providing documentation and loan files.
Secures and prepares new construction loan applications.
Tracks UCC financing statements and files continuations as needed.
Maintains working knowledge of NYS contractor and lending laws.
Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. degree in business, finance, or equivalent; specialized construction lending education and training.
Required Skills
Clearly communicates in English;
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills;
Proficient interpersonal relations;
Knowledge of lending regulations and documentation requirements;
Knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures which impact lending;
Knowledge of all features and benefits related to lending products and services;
Organizational skills with the ability to multitask;
Moderate PC skills, including Microsoft Office and loan processing software.
Preferred Skills
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in related experience normally required.
