An Insight Global client is seeking to hire a CNC Machinist in Hampton, VA. Two shifts open: Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm OR Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm. As a CNC Machinist, you are responsible for the setup, optimization, and operation of various CNC Machines within the machine shop. You set up and operate CNC machines to create precision parts. You review blueprints, program the machines, and monitor their operation.
Day to Day:
Set-up a range of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machine tools by installing and adjusting work holding devices, tooling, spindle liners and bar feeders.
Operate a range of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machine tools, ensuring that machine down time is minimized.
Verify programs and settings using a range of measuring equipment on first articles and apply appropriate adjustments and program modifications.
Ensure component compliance in accordance with engineering drawings and quality procedures using a range of inspection equipment.
Record daily operations on machine tools and provide operational equipment effectiveness (OEE) results daily.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machine tools.
High School Diploma or GED
Compensation:
$22/hr to $27/hr
