Jimmy’s Famous Seafood is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Culinary Operations to oversee and elevate the back-of-house operations across our fast-growing, multifaceted organization. This is a high-impact leadership role designed for an accomplished culinary professional with a proven track record in high-volume environments, large-scale event execution, and a passion for team development.
About the Role: We’re looking for a strong, strategic leader with 5+ years of senior management experience in a high-volume kitchen, catering, or hospitality setting. The ideal candidate will bring structure, vision, and energy to a well-established culinary team, currently consisting of 6 BOH managers and over 100 team members. This role is less about working the line and more about leading, organizing, and empowering others to thrive. Candidates should have direct experience supporting catering operations and large-scale events (serving hundreds to thousands of guests), including offsite logistics, menu scaling, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities: Lead weekly BOH management meetings to set goals, assess progress, and align with ownership and general management on both daily operations and long-term strategy. Oversee and analyze key financial metrics including food & labor costs, sales, invoicing, and inventory. Delegate tasks and projects across BOH leadership, ensuring each manager effectively leads their respective teams. Drive menu development, including pricing, descriptions, and seasonal offerings, in collaboration with the BOH team. Develop and oversee event-specific menus and prep for offsite catering and large-scale productions. Coordinate logistics and staffing plans for offsite events, collaborating closely with the events and catering departments. Partner with the marketing team on content creation related to specials, launches, and promotional campaigns. Maintain high standards of communication, precision, and professionalism across all operations.
What We’re Looking For: Minimum of 5 years in a senior BOH leadership role within a high-volume operation. Experience in catering and large-scale event execution, including offsite operations. Strong organizational and delegation skills. Exceptional communication abilities—both written and verbal. Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office/Google Suite. A leadership style rooted in accountability, collaboration, and integrity.
