Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Test Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering to support testing and evaluation of cutting-edge defense and electronic systems. This is a hands-on position located in Crane, Indiana, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and technicians in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and execution of test plans for electronic and electrical systems.
Support test setup, instrumentation, and data acquisition efforts for hardware validation.
Analyze and document test results, identify performance issues, and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure test coverage and accuracy.
Support troubleshooting and debugging efforts of test systems and components.
Maintain detailed technical documentation and ensure compliance with test standards and procedures.
Participate in design reviews, safety briefings, and status meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field.
0–3 years of relevant experience in a lab or engineering environment (internships/co-ops count).
Solid understanding of electrical/electronic circuits and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators).
Basic proficiency with test automation tools and data analysis (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or similar is a plus).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a team-oriented environment.
Additional Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required – Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Must have a clean background to meet clearance requirements.
Willingness to relocate to Crane, Indiana – relocation assistance will be provided.
Preferred (Not Required):
Previous experience with DoD testing environments or defense electronics.
Familiarity with environmental or reliability testing standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810).
