We're seeking a Quality Engineer/Manager to oversee and enhance our product and process quality, driving our company towards excellence and profitability. In this pivotal role, you'll utilize contemporary manufacturing techniques and methods to ensure our quality goals are met efficiently.
Position Summary:
As the Quality Engineer/Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating quality activities to achieve company objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO/President, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving our competitive position through strategic quality management.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Quality Engineer/Manager, you will:
Strategic Planning: Develop and recommend short and long-term objectives aligned with company goals. Create policies and programs to maintain and enhance our competitive position and profitability.
Quality Coordination: Use modern techniques like FMEA, process flow, total quality management, and inventory management to ensure high reliability in manufacturing processes.
Issue Resolution: Coordinate and resolve field product, supplier, and internal quality issues. Lead the Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.
New Business and Standards: Participate in new business proposals and establish quality standards for the factory.
Quality Goals: Develop plans to meet quality goals and reduce waste in production processes.
Certifications Management: Coordinate company quality certifications such as AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP.
Audits: Perform internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with standards.
Leadership: Act as the company's quality management representative and lead management review meetings.
QMS Management: Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and document control systems.
Team Supervision: Supervise and manage the quality team.
Gage Calibration: Maintain the gage calibration system and track quality metrics.
Customer Relations: Monitor and manage customer supplier portal information for multiple customers.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and enforce company policies on personnel, safety, EEO, and housekeeping.
Qualifications:
US Citizenship is a requirement for this job due to regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline.
4+ years experience in electrical engineering.
4+ years of significant management experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification is preferred.
