**Job Title: Controls Technician**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician who will contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting control systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of various detectors, alarms, and analyzers.

**Responsibilities**

+ Use safe work practices and encourage others to do the same, following Lock Out Tag Out requirements.

+ Participate in safety training programs and report all near misses and safety issues.

+ Support the development of effective preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and perform them as scheduled.

+ Determine when machines need repairs or service, and prioritize multiple issues effectively.

+ Take an active role in requisitioning necessary parts and materials for plant operations.

+ Communicate maintenance issues with other shifts to ensure operational continuity.

+ Maintain safe housekeeping standards in the Maintenance Department.

+ Stay current on plant and safety matters, participating in safety meetings.

+ Read and understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems during start-up and debug.

+ Install, maintain, repair, and calibrate various process control equipment and update associated documentation.

+ Monitor process control systems using diagnostic software and maintain related equipment.

+ Perform inspection and maintenance checks on all control systems.

+ Edit PLC programs as needed and assist with electrical troubleshooting.

+ Monitor electrical consumption and recommend cost-efficient operational methods.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience in automated control systems, including design and programming of PLCs, HMIs, and VF drives (AB preferred).

+ Proficiency with ladder logic programming using Rockwell applications such as RS Linx, RS Logix 500, 5000, and Studio 5000.

+ Familiarity with FT View development HMI applications.

+ Proficiency in PLC networking configurations for Ethernet.

+ Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

+ Sound troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

+ Knowledge of safe use of shop equipment and tools.

+ Formal training in automation controls.

**Work Environment**

You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to extreme temperature changes and dusty conditions. The regular shift is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with on-call duty every 4-5 weeks, compensated with a minimum of 4 hours pay even for shorter work periods.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Permanent position based out of Inwood, West Virginia.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $98051.00 - $104000.00/yr.
