**Job Title: Sanitation Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Sanitation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our plant environment. You will work independently to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, following a daily checklist of tasks. Your dedication to maintaining high standards of hygiene will contribute significantly to the overall quality of our production processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Vacuum inside mill structures and packing buildings.
+ Dust pipes and remove cobwebs.
+ Clean major and minor spills during production as needed.
+ Wash flour silos from top to bottom.
+ Clean and sweep sifter, mill tower, and packing tower.
+ Check magnets in the scale area.
+ Clean, sweep, and wash flour accumulation on stairways and balconies, both inside and outside flour silos.
+ Sweep and clean spilled corn from outside corn silos and mill structure.
+ Wash out gutters, structures, and roofs of buildings throughout the plant.
+ Wash production tower.
+ Pick up trash, pallets, cans, and cardboard throughout the plant.
+ Set up equipment for tasks that may arise.
+ Assist in taping and sealing warehouse, packing area, box cars, and hopper cars.
+ Assist in fogging and applying fumigants or insecticides in warehouse and fogging areas.
+ Apply sanitizers and other cleaning agents in production areas.
+ Clean and sanitize interior drains using rinsing, scrubbing, and flushing with sanitizer.
+ Perform detailed cleaning of interior production areas including dusting, sweeping, pressure washing, and vacuuming.
+ Assist the mill in cleaning production equipment during shutdowns and scheduled cleaning procedures.
+ Handle chemicals and equipment responsibly, including PPE, SDS, storing, transporting, and handling.
+ Practice good hygiene, housekeeping, and cross-contamination prevention.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to follow simple written instructions.
+ Ability to read, write, and speak proficiently.
+ Reliable transportation to and from work.
+ Ability to work at elevated heights up to 80 feet.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
+ Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred.
+ Prior manufacturing experience is an advantage.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions and dusty areas due to flour production. Employees must use hearing protection due to intermittent sound levels. The role requires standing for extended periods, frequently walking, climbing ladders and stairs, and pushing carts full of cleaning equipment. The dress code includes clean jeans or work pants, t-shirts, steel toe boots, and a belt, with specific attire required for the first day. Day shift hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work and overtime opportunities. No cell phones are allowed on the production floor.
Starting $24.75/hr on 1st shift in Evansville, IN
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.15 - $23.15/hr.
