**Job Title: Forklift Operator**

**Job Description**

Join our team as a forklift operator and material handler, where you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move finished products from machines to staging areas. In this role, you will collaborate with your team to coordinate product staging and ensure efficient workflow without any machine backups. Using an RF scanner, you will receive instructions to move products to specific lines and staging areas. Additionally, you will follow load plans to load staged products into trucks, all while handling unpalletized materials.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate forklifts to transport finished products from machines to staging areas.

+ Work collaboratively with the team to manage product staging and workflow.

+ Ensure there is no backup at the machines by efficiently moving products.

+ Use RF scanners to receive instructions for product movement.

+ Follow load plans to load staged products into specific trucks.

+ Handle unpalletized materials effectively.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience as a forklift operator, ideally with clamp or unpalletized materials.

+ Proficiency in using RF scanners or other computer picking devices.

+ Experience in environments with KPIs and parts moving.

+ Strong safety awareness and understanding of OSHA regulations for forklifts.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Previous experience in corrugated companies such as Westrock, Pratt, Container Services, Alliance Sheets, American Container, Jamil, Welch.

+ Experience handling unpalletized materials.

**Work Environment**

The position is based in a manufacturing facility that can have dust due to the cutting of paper. The environment is non-climate controlled, requiring steel toes, eyewear, hi-vis vests, and ear protection. Standard work shifts are 8 hours, with openings available on the 1st and 3rd shifts.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Carlisle, Indiana.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $19.21 - $20.21/hr.
