**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, responsible for welding products made of steel and/or galvanized metal using blueprints and fixtures. The ideal candidate will operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring the production of high-quality parts and assemblies.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate welding equipment to hand weld products in a safe, efficient, and ergonomic manner.

+ Adjust welders as needed to maintain part quality.

+ Set own machine for materials being welded, producing minimal smoke or splatter.

+ Produce high-quality welds with good workmanship and very few rejects.

+ Consistently achieve acceptable levels of productivity with some supervision.

+ Manufacture products to specifications without a fixture using weld table, prints, tape measure, protractor, clamps, etc.

+ Read and understand prints and symbols.

+ Professionally communicate production issues, seeking clarification and resolution.

+ Perform tasks safely, including wearing safety glasses and gloves as required.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

**Essential Skills**

+ Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

+ MIG welding experience.

+ Proficient in welding galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.

+ Ability to read a tape measure in fractions and decimals.

+ Ability to review and interpret symbols, part numbers, tolerance, and weld placements on blueprints.

+ Ability to work independently to complete work to print requirements.

+ Basic math skills to determine needed dimensions.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience with MIG, TIG, stick welding, and flux core.

+ Proficient in blueprint reading, fabrication, grinding, and assembly.

+ Experience with structural and sheet metal welding.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is non-climate controlled and loud. Safety gear such as safety glasses and gloves are required. Shift differentials are available, with $1 for the second shift and $2 for the third shift.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $24.45/hr.
