**Job Title: General Laborer**

**Job Description**

As a General Laborer, you will work in one of two departments, Small Box or Long Box, to produce quality products. Employees in the Small Box Department are trained to use tools and equipment efficiently to produce and assemble various components. Those in the Long Box Department focus on bending, drilling, and assembling parts to meet product specifications. Both roles require attention to detail and the ability to ensure products meet quality standards.

**Responsibilities**

+ Produce quality products using tools and equipment.

+ Assist with the assembly and creation of custom orders.

+ Analyze work to identify and address issues.

+ Maintain quality and safety standards.

+ Route and distribute materials as needed.

+ Detect and report problems to appropriate channels.

+ Build and assemble electrical components for production.

+ Set up, operate, and tend drill press machines.

+ Package daily orders and prepare necessary paperwork.

+ Conduct quality control checks and notify leads and supervisors of concerns.

+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

**Essential Skills**

+ Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

+ Ability to read, write, perform simple arithmetic, and measure accurately.

+ Attention to detail for accuracy in production and documentation.

+ Understanding and maintaining quality and safety standards.

+ Routing and distributing materials effectively.

+ Problem detection and reporting.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience with hand tools and power tools.

+ Skills in production, packaging, assembly, packing, and inspection.

+ Ability to document actions by completing production and quality forms.

**Work Environment**

The work environment is focused on quality production in either the Small Box or Long Box departments. Employees will use various tools and equipment to complete tasks efficiently. The role requires adherence to safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace. Employees are expected to wear appropriate attire suitable for a production environment.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Haven, Michigan.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
