Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Java & Web Technologies opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 12 Months

Duties:

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Java and related technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Work with Big Data tools and technologies to manage and process large datasets.

Implement best practices for cloud-native development on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting for performance and reliability.

Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.

Skills:

Strong programming skills in Java and web technologies (Spring Boot, REST APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Proficient in working with GCP services (such as Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery).

Experience with Big Data ecosystems and tools like Hadoop, Spark, or similar.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.

Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and version control systems like Git.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java application development.

At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.

Hands-on experience in Big Data technologies and large-scale data processing.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
