NCQA is hiring an Assistant Director, Analytic Insights that will serve in a strategic leadership role responsible for advancing the organization’s analytic maturity by delivering actionable insights from both structured and unstructured data. This role works closely with Enterprise Analytics to ensure that the business processes, reporting frameworks and data pipelines are in place to enable the successful implementation and operationalization of the enterprise data strategy. This role empowers leaders with meaningful visualizations that inform decisions and improve customer experience, product value and organizational growth.
Responsibilities
Lead Analytic Insight Generation
Translate structured and unstructured data into meaningful insights.
Develop and maintain PCO dashboards to monitor operational health.
Identify, implement and utilize technology and human resources to uncover trends from qualitative data.
Provide strategic consultation to leaders on analytics interpretation.
Facilitate data storytelling to influence quality, customer and product strategy.
Lead change management for analytic adoption.
Facilitate team agreement on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
Reporting oversight for resource planning and alignment.
Support analytics for evaluation and implementation of New Products.
Proactively identify business process improvement opportunities.
Technology research and implementation support to enhance efficiency, improve IRR and minimize risk of product delivery.
Work closely with business users and development to balance analytics and technology roadmap against development capacity and senior leadership’s defined organizational priorities.
Product launch – plan the launch of new reports, analytics and technology with applicable stakeholders.
Design and define through soliciting internal/external customer input.
Ensure maintenance of training and UAT environments.
Support Quality Assurance efforts, embed quality into processes and support monitoring oversight.
Team Development & Project Oversight
Lead and manage a team focused on reporting, dashboards and insights.
Define, prioritize and implement operational and actionable reporting processes across the department following best practice agile scrum processes.
Grow, motivate and inspire team to achieve goals while aligning goals to strategic objectives.
Demonstrate and nurture a growth mindset.
Identify and Implement actions to improve employee engagement.
Promote a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and data literacy. Build strong relationships across enterprise and collaborate in the launch of new processes, technology innovation and / or analytic capabilities.
Define success metrics and analyze team performance.
Enable enterprise Data Strategy
Support the design, definition and implementation of data governance and strategy framework.
Support pipeline development and prioritization of data integration for successful output (PowerBI; Strategy etc.)
Lead change management for data strategy adoption.
Establish infrastructure to support valid, reliable, data outputs.
Design and implementation of business processes to achieve priority data attributes.
Solve problems, make decisions, complete trade-off analysis to stay on track toward business deliverable commitments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Public Health or related field. Master's degree preferred.
4+ years of experience in analytics, insights or business intelligence.
Experience analyzing both structured and unstructured data.
Proven ability to develop and lead enterprise dashboards and reporting.
Strong background in supporting data strategies and governance initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team to accurately capture business requirements and translate to actionable reporting and analytic insights.
Experience in report development and working with developers.
A successful track record of working with end users, managers.
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodology.
Compensation & Benefits:
For new hires, this position pays in the range of $130K - $150K per year, depending on experience.
This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus, payable in accordance with policy.
