Mill Utility - Cleveland, TN
This is an hourly position.
Position Summary:
Under limited supervision, performs various duties in the wheat mill. The duties may vary by day and hours may vary based on assignment. Duties may include doing cleaning, operating motorized equipment such as scissor lift and fork trucks, roll changes and minor maintenance repairs, and cleaning rail cars.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure and take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of mill personnel
Communicates effectively with the millers and assistant millers
Maintains close contact with management, advising the supervisor of problems encountered
Contributes to team effort to complete the assigned Sanitation Schedule items
Maintains a neat and clean working area at all times cleaning equipment as required and placing equipment in the proper storage areas
Assists with operational activities in field
Assists with routine preventive maintenance duties on department equipment and notifies the maintenance department of the need for major repairs or adjustments
Movement and operation of forklift and scissor lift
Must be motivated and have the ability to take direction
Must be able to work well with others in a team environment, as well as the ability to work well without supervision
Excellent attendance is a must
Performs other duties as assigned by management.Work Environment:

Work overtime when necessary
Work with vibrating equipment on occasional basis
Hazards: work on slippery/uneven surfaces and at high elevations on constant basis
High and low temperature extremes
Work in cramped positions on frequent basis
Stand for long periods of time
Lift 50 lbs
Carry ladders and tools
Climb ladders
Walk long distancesPreferred Skills:
Previous process or plant experience is a plus
Mechanical aptitude
High school diploma or GED preferredADM requires the successful completion of a background check.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
