Location: Wilmington, NC
Pay: $20- $25 an hour- Full-time
Requirements:
Electrical Expertise:
Experience working with 120V and 240V electrical systems, including wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Knowledge of pump motors, control panels, timers, and GFCI systems used in fountains and aeration systems.
Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local electrical regulations.
Fountain & Water Feature Maintenance:
Ability to install, maintain, and repair decorative fountains, aerators, and other aquatic systems.
Experience with submersible pumps, nozzles, lighting systems, and filtration components.
Stormwater & Pond/Lake Systems Knowledge:
Understanding of stormwater control measures (SCMs) and how fountains/aeration systems integrate with them.
Awareness of local stormwater compliance regulations (helpful but not mandatory; can be trained).
Mechanical & Maintenance Skills:
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues (e.g., clogged lines, damaged impellers, leaks).
Comfortable with basic plumbing, PVC repair, and sealing techniques.
Safety & Compliance:
Follows OSHA safety standards for electrical and water-based work.
Documents work with detailed service reports and photos (as required by Dragonfly's compliance process).
Physical & Operational Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Comfortable lifting heavy equipment (pumps, motors, etc.).
Valid driver's license (may need to operate company trucks/vans).
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair fountain and aeration systems in ponds, lakes, and stormwater basins.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues (e.g., tripped breakers, faulty wiring, pump failures).
Perform preventative maintenance (cleaning nozzles, checking voltage, lubricating motors).
Ensure compliance with municipal stormwater regulations related to fountain/aeration function.
Collaborate with stormwater and pond maintenance teams for integrated solutions.
Document work with service reports, photos, and recommendations for clients.
