SwimRVA is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as the SR Communications Coordinator. The SR Commincations Coordinator will create and maintain a strong online presence for the organization and connect program participants, family members, communicty members, board members, staff members and bendors with the mission of SwimRVA. The SR Communication Coordinator is the conduit between the organization and the community.
The SR Communications Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits including health, dental, IRA match, short-term and long-term disability, and access to free or reduced SwimRVA programming. This position will also be utilized for a rotating Manager-on-Duty schedule for weekend shifts, as needed. American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED and Emergency Oxygen preferred. Training can be provided for qualified candidates.

The SwimRVA SR Communications Coordinator job duties:
Design posts to sustain readers curiosity and create buzz around new and existing services
Stay up to date with the latest communication and storytelling trends to ensure maximum effectiveness
Coordinate online conversations with customer and respond to queries
Suggest new ways to attract new customers including promotions and online competitions
Facilitate an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
Coordinate the development and implementation of the organizations editorial calendar
Develop and coordinate compelling content through social media and blogs
Develop weekly newsletters for all programs and general organizational developments
Gather graphics and video to assist in developing clear and goal-driven content
Assess and report on the effectiveness of social media and content strategies
Assist in strategies and implementation for expos and fairs to acquire new leads
Collaborate with the development team to create internal and external, mission-based, storytelling strategies
Coordinate real-time content and feedback for events hosted by SwimRVA
All other duties assigned by department heads and management team
Qualifications:
Expertise in multiple social media platforms
Ability to deliver creative content (written, image, and video)
Strong knowledge and understanding of current digital media trends
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, and professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
Detail oriented and ability to multitask
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, new media, or relevant field and/or experience preferred
Salary/Benefits:
Full-Time non-exempt
Starting $18.03/hour, $37,500 annually based on level of experience
