Job Title: Accounting Manager

Employer: MedHQ, LLC, headquarters location: 4 Westbrook Corporate Center #430, Westchester, IL 60154

Job Duties:

Develops and maintains close working relationships with all levels of customer organization from office clerk to office manager to administrator to board members.

Oversees customer costs data and monthly financial reports and statements. Assists in the development of annual budget, where applicable.

Manages fixed assets and develops and monitors depreciations schedules; as well as schedules designed to support financial statements.

Ensures accuracy of the balance sheet. Identifies discrepancies and makes necessary adjustments.

Assists in managing cash flow for clients through special cash reporting.

Ability to train client administrative staff in use of accounting software.

Assists outside accounting firms in preparing tax returns and review or audits of client accounts.

Participates in the development of department objectives and management of staff.

Assists in development of department policies and procedures.

Assists in development of customer manuals.

Position reports to headquarters office in Westchester, IL, but can telecommute from any location in the United States. Occasional work at or travel to headquarters location (approximately quarterly) is required for trainings/meetings.

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university. Valid CPA license required.

Special Skills required:

Minimum of three years of experience in accounting management

Knowledge of advanced financial accounting, analysis and reporting to design, modify and manage an accounting system, as demonstrated by CPA license

Knowledge of computer systems, spreadsheet and financial systems programs, applications and governmental regulations, as demonstrated by prior work with Microsoft Excel

Skill in budgeting, preparing financial reports and computer applications as demonstrated by CPA license

Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives as demonstrated by 3 years prior experience in accounting management

Skill in identifying and resolving accounting problems as demonstrated by 3 years prior work experience in accounting management which experience should involve work with customers and third parties such as banks and auditors
