Summary
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for all work and activities assigned to operations routes. Most days will consist of a mix of 30% office related activities and 70% field related activities. The OM will engage in record keeping activities, scheduling, billing, job site quality and safety checks, and fleet and equipment maintenance management. A large amount of time will be spent driving from site to site getting in and out of a vehicle. At times OM may be required to engage in or work alongside crew members both for training and for assistance, and therefore must be willing to engage in washing and other manual labor activities. OM must possess some training in computer use and have the ability to learn company operations software. Skills and experience in managing a dynamic work environment with many employees of varied skill levels is a must. There are no assigned work hours for this position, however time off is rarely available on weekends and is limited normally to two consecutive week days. OM must have the ability to self-manage within the work-week accomplishing many tasks and goals assigned. OM must be reachable by phone on all scheduled work days.
Regular Duties
o Assist in hiring, promotion, discipline, and separation decisions regarding employees under OM's supervision.
o Ensure preparation of service equipment for each scheduled route.
o Correcting issues or complaints from customers.
o Coordinating repairs and maintenance of all assigned equipment.
o Responding to emergency and special call in work from customers.
o Assist or lead monthly team safety meetings.
o Assist in the regular reviews, and counseling of all route employees.
Compensation
OM will receive a company vehicle and expense account.
