RSC CENTER FOR WORKFORCE EXCELLENCE ANNOUNCES A PART-TIME HOURLY POSITION IN KIDS COLLEGE/TEEN SCENE

POSITION: KIDS COLLEGE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL (PART-TIME)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Responsible for the general safety, staffing, daily operation and student-participation in the annual Kids College and Teen Scene Community Service. Oversee students, instructors, counselors, assistants and the program manager to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of all participants while encouraging a fun and educational environment. Responsible for handling minor conduct problems with students. Responsible for contacting the College's certified wellness official to administer first aid when necessary. Communicate effectively with parent/guardians in situations of conduct issues, illnesses, or injuries. Address any parent/guardian concerns. Responsible for filling out incident reports in situations involving misconduct, injuries or property damage. Provide immediate back-up and support for instructors and other staff members, when needed.

Hours may vary between the times of 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Thursday, and from November 1, 2024 – April 1, 2025 up to 5 hours a week. Extended hours May 1 – August 15 up to 36 hours per week. The assignment dates may vary from November 1, 2024 to August 15, 2025.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have at least a Bachelor's degree. Must have taught in Oklahoma (primary, secondary or postsecondary). Must have been a Rose State Kids College Teen Scene instructor or Project Director for at least one (1) summer session. Must be organized and have excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to relate well to children. Heavy lifting and moderate carrying required. Ability to move furniture and boxes from one area to another. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, and bending.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

First Aid Certification

SALARY: $33.00 an hour (November 1, 2024 – April 1, 2025 up to 5 hours a week. Extended hours May 1 – August 15 up to 36 hours per week.)
