Sincere is looking for a Director, Video Engineering to join our growing team. In this role, you will drive product development for all Group Video technology on Memento, our innovative platform to collect and preserve memories from life's most important milestones and moments. In collaboration with business and product team leaders, you will lead a team of designers, developers, ops, and QA to bring new product features to our users. The ideal candidate is passionate about products that make a difference in people's lives and knows how to ship successful consumer SAAS.
In this role, you will:
Lead development of Group Video technology on Memento
Work with cross-functional teams (design, development, ops, QA) to deliver new features
Provide guidance on key architectural decisions
Collaborate with marketing and customer support teams to navigate product updates
Improve development processes and ensure timely delivery of releases
Track key metrics to inform product decisions and optimize the user experience You have:
10+ years of full-stack software development experience
Expertise with technologies such as:
Node.js, Serverless Framework, Docker
React, Next.js
AWS: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and more
Video: FFMPEG, Remotion
Deep understanding & proven history with integrations for services such as Stripe, SendGrid, and Twilio
The ability to author complex features and the wisdom to delegate pieces to a capable team
A proven track record of driving forward & shipping successful, business-impacting features for a SAAS product
Management or team-lead experience
