Description
Oversee all phases of ground-up retail construction projects from pre-construction through close-out.
Manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, and on-site teams to ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate directly with Publix representatives and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to brand-specific standards and timelines.
Review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy and constructability.
Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and permitting requirements.
Identify and proactively manage project risks and changes in scope.
Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a strong emphasis on ground-up grocery retail projects.
Demonstrated experience building new Publix stores is required.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of construction scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
