Job Title: Quality Inspector

Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (10-hour or 8-hour shifts); weekends as needed
Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Quality Inspector to join a growing manufacturing team in Southeast Michigan. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting engineered fabrications and finished products, reading mechanical drawings, and applying knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). This is a hands-on position requiring both shop-floor and office work, with the ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect engineered fabrications, in-process production, and final products to verify conformance to specifications.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision tools.
Document and log inspection results, deficiencies, and acceptable quality metrics in quality systems.
Review technical drawings and assist in resolving non-conformance issues.
Maintain measurement equipment and follow proper operating procedures.
Ensure quality processes and equipment meet industry and internal standards.
Participate in final release approval of product shipments, including documentation review.
Collect and manage test, control, and inspection documentation for as-built records.
Support improvements in manufacturing processes and quality systems.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3+ years of quality inspection experience preferred
Background in QC for oil & gas or industrial equipment is a plus
Proficient with measurement tools and interpreting technical drawings
Comfortable working in a shop and office setting
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
