Travel / Float Phlebotomist - Columbus, OH (FT)
Full-time opening needed for an experienced Certified Phlebotomist (CPT) with prior experience as a Travel or Mobile Phlebotomist and 3-5 year's of hands-on clinical experience in Venipuncture and accuracy to join as a full-time part of our team in Columbus, OH providing patient service.
Mileage Reimbursement & Quarterly Bonus provided, with Benefits starting immediately.

SHIFT: M-F, 8a-5p FT, 40 hours/week guaranteed
*May travel up to 2 hours, overnight travel covered
PAYRANGE: (based on experience) $19.29/hr - $24.19/hr
OTHER PAY: Mileage Reimbursement, Quarterly Bonus, Tuition Assistance
*Will usually stay within Columbus, but may travel up to 2 hours Overnight travel/Per Diem covered
EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Phlebotomy Certification (CPT)
At least 3-5 (FIVE) year's current Phlebotomy experience required
Prior Travel, Float or Mobile Phlebotomist required
Able to provide 45 sticks/day comfortably and confidently
Reliable transportation
Proof of Auto Insurance
Clean driving record of at least 1 year (no more than 3 minor violations)

JOB SUMMARY:
Mobile Phlebotomist Floater under the direction of the area supervisor performs phlebotomy roles of the IOP accurately & on-time.
Ready to travel to a client assignment within a designated region with short notice.
Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
Collects specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture.
Completes requisitions accurately.
Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer.
Communicate with clients to confirm handwritten orders, verify test(s) ordered, obtain accurate billing information, i.e. diagnosis codes, UPIN information, etc.
Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Package specimens for transport. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.
Maintains daily records and all appropriate PSC/IOP Phlebotomy logs.
Utilizes time appropriately. Capable of maintaining fluctuating patient flow.
Displays courteous and professional behavior to clients, patients, and co-workers. Communicates with co-workers and clients in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment.
Performs duties in independent manner.
