Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Solution Architect to oversee the end-to-end architecture and development lifecycle within our Connected Technology Privacy domain. In this role, you will translate complex business needs into functional, scalable software solutions while ensuring the highest standards of privacy and security compliance.

The successful candidate will work at the intersection of technical architecture and privacy engineering, designing systems that not only meet current business requirements but also anticipate future scalability and regulatory needs. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that have direct impact on how connected technologies handle sensitive user data and maintain compliance with evolving privacy regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and architect full-stack solutions using best practices such as microservices and event-driven architectures

Collaborate closely with domain architects, delivery leads, and project managers to deliver timely, effective solutions

Provide engineering guidance and technical leadership across multiple development teams

Enhance system non-functional requirements including scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization

Promote development of reusable patterns and libraries to improve development efficiency

Support operations teams with root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for system issues

Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation to ensure system integrity

Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and architectural reviews across the organization

Mentor developers on system design principles and code quality standards

Ensure architectural decisions align with privacy rights and regulatory compliance requirements

Required Experience/Skills

10+ years of experience in software engineering with hands-on background in delivering impactful software solutions

3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, including extensive work with cloud-native technologies (AWS preferred)

Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python

Deep understanding of microservices architecture, cloud computing platforms, and system design principles

Comprehensive knowledge of non-functional aspects of architecture including performance, scalability, and reliability

Strong expertise in InfoSec and DevSecOps principles within AWS environments

Excellent communication skills for effectively advising both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proven experience mentoring developers on system design and code quality best practices

Functional knowledge of privacy rights and regulations including CCPA and GDPR compliance requirements

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working within the automotive domain and connected vehicle technologies

Background in privacy engineering or data protection by design methodologies

Familiarity with additional cloud platforms beyond AWS

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Information Technology

Pay & Benefits Summary

Payrate: $65-70/hr W2 based on experience
