Junior Full Stack Web Developer (Hybrid – Columbia, SC)

The Junior Full Stack Web Developer position develops functional and responsive websites that create customer-centric experiences for our customers. The Junior Developer requires the use of a combination of markup languages along with experience in the Drupal CMS to support building, enhancing, and maintaining websites, as well as assisting other developers with coding and troubleshooting. Must have the ability to translate high-level requirements into intuitive and functional websites is a must. The Junior Developer is responsible for executing on all phases—from discovery to development and development to QA/deployment. The Junior Developer supports the Web Development Supervisor in designing and building Drupal websites. They work closely with many different stakeholders, including vendors, agencies, IT, and others, to design web experiences that both meet business goals and illustrate a forward-thinking and innovative approach to web design. The Junior Developer also may develop various digital assets to support integrated marketing campaigns.

What You'll Do:

Develop, configure, and maintain all bank and association websites and applications.

Work closely with multiple stakeholders to plan and develop websites that meet our clients’ business goals and objectives.

Conduct and report on the analysis of each site.

Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders daily.

Perform frequent QA activities, requiring excellent attention to detail.

Analyze the effectiveness of bank and association websites, including search engine optimization (SEO) and website performance indicators.

Accurately track, communicate, and provide recommendations on accessibility, meeting KPIs, and overall user experience.

Produce reports and recommendations based on analysis, in collaboration with the Web Development Supervisor.

Apply findings to customer-facing websites, search and display marketing campaign tactics, landing pages, and other web applications.

Work alongside the Web Development Supervisor to properly maintain and optimize all existing websites.

Perform routine updates and edits using the Drupal content management system.

Add/update content for clients.

Post financial reports and other documents.

Research and recommend new features and functions to meet the strategic business goals of the bank and our association partners.

Represent the Web Team within our intake/ticketing system.

What You'll Need:

Education or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or web development, or equivalent training and on-the-job experience with at least two (2) to four (4) years of web development experience.

At least one (1) year of experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least two (2) to four (4) years of related experience in a corporate environment.

Ability to handle simple back-end Drupal tasks such as modifying theme files, SCSS files, basic module development, and support.

Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks, including PHP, JavaScript, Node.js, Twig, jQuery, and HTML.

Ability to prototype or wireframe using Sketch, Figma, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.

Some experience with content types, taxonomy language, menu systems, views, and other Drupal CMS data structures.

Familiarity with SEO best practices (semantic markup, alt tags, meta tags).

Understanding and experience with code versioning tools such as GIT and development aiding tools like Gulp and command-line interfaces.

Nice to Have:

Some experience with modern web standards and compliance best practices (e.g., ADA & WCAG).

Familiarity with job request ticketing systems (e.g., Lytho, JIRA, Basecamp).

Knowledge of the HubSpot Marketing Automation platform and HubSpot CMS.
