We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, and supporting critical financial operations. The ideal candidate excels in communication, thrives under pressure, and demonstrates professionalism when interacting with team members and clients.
Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Perform collections activities by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Accurately record and post cash receipts to maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Generate and analyze reports to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.
• Provide administrative support to the Accounts Receivable Department, ensuring smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Maintain professionalism and assertiveness when addressing concerns with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities.
• Assist in special projects or additional tasks as assigned by management.• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or a related role.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in customer service and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices, including cash receipt processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze financial discrepancies.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with cross-departmental interaction.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software or tools is preferred.
