Aerospace Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections of aerospace components and assemblies. This role is critical to ensuring that all manufactured parts meet stringent industry and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques, aerospace standards, and quality assurance documentation practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined and assembled aerospace components.

Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMMs to verify conformance to specifications.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and inspection plans.

Document inspection results accurately and clearly using quality records, reports, and electronic systems.

Identify and document non-conformances, and collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams for corrective actions.

Verify material certifications, special process records, and compliance documentation.

Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and maintained according to internal procedures.

Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to drive quality performance.

Adhere to AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements
