The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise combined with a strong background in healthcare IT and project oversight. You will work collaboratively with both technical teams and business stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize our technology platforms—either by directly delivering solutions or by providing critical oversight and PMO support to implementation projects.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Architecture Development:

Design and develop the overall architecture strategy for Medicaid-related technology platforms

Evaluate current systems and identify opportunities for enhancement, modernization, and integration to support evolving business needs

Establish and maintain architecture governance processes to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements

Project Implementation & Oversight:

Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards

Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicaid systems during project planning, execution, and post-implementation review

Provide oversight and guidance in a PMO capacity, ensuring projects meet technical, budgetary, and timeline objectives

Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating complex technical requirements into actionable project plans

Technical Leadership & Innovation:

Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting Medicaid IT solutions

Develop and promote best practices for scalable, secure, and efficient system design and integration

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, clinical, and external vendors, to ensure seamless integration and operation of Medicaid systems

Communicate architectural vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences

Mentor and support junior architects and technical staff to build a strong internal competency in enterprise architecture

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong focus on healthcare IT systems within the Medicaid or public healthcare sector

Proven experience in designing and implementing complex technology platforms, including hands-on experience with system integrations, data management, and security protocols

Experience with Medicaid program requirements, Medicaid and/or eligibility systems, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, state-specific mandates)

Knowledge of cloud technologies, data analytics, and enterprise integration platforms

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail

Strong project management skills with experience in PMO oversight, including managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:

Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and project management (e.g., PMP, Agile certifications)
