Position Description:
Phased n Research is looking for a highly motivated Radar Model Independent Verification and Validation Analyst. This team performs Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) on radar and missile simulation products that are capable of modeling system algorithms as well as low-power emissions at full RF. Tasks include compiling technical assessments and specifications from source material, creating and cataloging testable IV&V requirements, designing and building test scenarios, sampling and analyzing waveform emissions, analyzing scenario output, and documenting tests results with analysis outputs and compiled results. Workflow involves regular communication and coordination with the product development team and the customer.
Job Duties include:

Required Skill and Experience:
Strong ability to investigate, problem-solve, and document a variety of technical problems, semi or fully independently with minimal reach-back support
Good ability to read, write, and troubleshoot tools developed using common scripting languages
Python, MATLAB, etc.
Ability to rapidly digest technical resources including flow diagrams, tabulated information, and extract technical specifications
Good understanding of radar and/or missile or similar system test and evaluation (T&E) or verification and validation (V&V) process
Scenario development - design of experiments (DOE)
Data processing and analysis
Good understanding of measurement and statistical methods
Documentation (reports and supporting materials, MS Office)
Ability to work in a dynamic, sometimes rapidly changing environment on a small team
Desired Qualifications:
Strong coding skills in one or more scripting languages such as Python (preferred) or MATLAB
Ability to quickly generate analysis solutions for unique test-cases, large data, and requiring robust assessment (algorithmic) confidence
An eye for clear and concise data visualization techniques
Strong understanding of general radar functionality and common algorithm flow including search, track, waveform selection concepts, etc.
Strong understanding of electronic warfare (EW) and electronic protection (EP) concepts and techniques
Experience using RF test instrumentation (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI
