Your Mission

As a Quality Engineer at Mach Industries, you will be the quality lead for one of our aircraft systems. You’ll play a central role in ensuring end-to-end product integrity—from New Product Introduction (NPI) to supplier qualification and final product validation. This role requires strong systems thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to chart a clear path toward AS9100 and ISO 9001 certification.

Key Responsibilities

Own Quality Across the Product Lifecycle Lead the quality strategy for an aircraft system including NPI, Supplier Quality, and In-Process/Product Quality assurance.

Support Compliance & Continuous Improvement Develop AS9100 and ISO9001 company standards and processes. Proactively identify process gaps, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support audits.

Manage & Optimize the QMS Act as a system owner and subject matter expert for Mach’s Quality Management System (QMS). Drive compliance, traceability, and efficiency across documentation, audits, and metrics.

Enable Design & Manufacturing Excellence Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate quality into every stage of the design and production process. Offer insights on process risk, capability validation, and compliance to relevant standards.

Define and Refine Quality Tools Develop, maintain, and improve inspection methods, test protocols, and quality documentation such as PFMEAs, control plans, and inspection plans.

Investigate & Resolve Non-Conformances Lead root cause investigations and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure issues are addressed and prevented from recurring.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (or equivalent practical experience)

3–5+ years of experience in:

Root Cause Analysis, RCCA, and CAPA

Developing PFMEAs, control plans, and inspection documentation

Supporting and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS)

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specs

Preferred:

Certifications & Standards: IPC-610, IPC-620, AS9100, ISO 9001, GD&T

Industry Background: Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive

Methods & Tools: Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, SPC, Gage R&R

Experience With: Supplier Quality Management, product audits, and continuous process improvement

Bonus: Passion for aviation, unmanned systems, or model aircraft

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
