The Position:

Position Title: SAP S4HANA ABAP Developer for Data Migration

Location: Hybrid; Remote Off-Site and On-Site in Middletown, PA

Duration: 12+ Month Project

Note: Hybrid work environment is expected to be 1-week per month on-site in Middletown PA, varying with project needs.

We are seeking an SAP S4HANA ABAP Developer for Data Migration to add to our team assisting the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) Information Technology (IT) Department. The PTC is engaging in an exciting and innovative technology solution to support their customer engagements; the solution is called the Unified Back Office Solution (UBOS). UBOS is an advanced back-office system that, when developed and deployed, will allow customers to engage with the PTC to address all their business needs, via a multitude of channels (web, mobile app, chatbot, chat, IVR, phone, social media, etc.). PTC is dedicated to transforming the customer engagement businesses through innovative technology and strategic insights. - Design and develop custom objects, enhancements, reports, and interfaces using ABAP (described below within the Glossary of Abbreviations section of this document) on SAP S/4HANA.

- Implement solutions using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), SEGW, CDS Views, OData services, and AMDPs, Proxies and IDOCs.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing ABAP programs for performance and compliance with clean core principles.

- Collaborate with FI/CO and MM functional consultants to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Participate in the design and implementation of WRICEF objects for Finance and Inventory Management processes.

- Ensure all developments are aligned with SAP S/4HANA extensibility and upgrade-safe practices.

- Stay current with SAP S/4 HANA innovations and contribute to continuous improvement of SAP solutions.

- Recommend and author coding best practices and sharing with project team members.

- Take ownership of assigned tasks.

- Cross functional collaboration is a must.

- Fully document all created work associated with this position, including technical and functional designs and diagrams, test plans, test scripts, impact analysis reports, lessons learned, best practices for others to follow, plus any other documentation as required by the PTC. This documentation shall follow the format and / or templates as instructed by the PTC.

- Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.

- Lead and participate in project team activities for system work efforts related to enterprise systems.

- Work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.

- Adhere to and follow all PTC standards, policies, and procedures.

- Utilize various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.

- Perform tasks and other duties as related to this position and role and assigned by the PTC.

The Skills and Experience:

- 8+ Years: SAP experience

- 4 Years: S/4 HANA experience

- 7+ Years: BRIM and SAP S/4 HANA ABAP experience

- Experience as a hands-on developer or technical SME on 2+ system implementation projects

- Experience in S4HANA Data migration and lates SAP provided tools including Migration Cockpit is a plus

- Strong experience in developing custom migration programs with performance tuning and optimization

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 extension and customization

- Hands-on experience using BAS and BTP

- Experience developing ODATA using RAP (Restful Application Programming) and other latest SAP recommended technologies

- Strong knowledge and development experience in FI, CO, and MM/IM modules

- Ability to work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned

- SAP BRIM technical certifications are preferred

- SAP ABAP technical certifications are preferred

- Bachelorâ s degree in business management or information systems is preferred
