This role offers a range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.
We are searching for a Research Chemist at our state-of-the-art Research & Development facility in West Chicago, IL. If you are a chemist that enjoys solving problems and creating solutions in constantly growing and evolving market, this position is a great opportunity for you!

As an R&D Chemist you will be responsible for:
Troubleshooting issues with existing technologies as well as customer challenges
Developing new water-based technologies based on customer needs
Evaluating raw materials and optimize formulations for cost-savings opportunities
Providing technical support to manufacturing
Publishing project reports & other documents direct to sales & customers
Maintaining laboratory equipmentQualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
Have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent
Knowledge of flexographic and gravure printing processes
5 or more years of water ink and/or coating formulation experience preferred
Demonstrate strong math and science skills
Be proficient with record keeping
Have good and effective written, reading comprehension and verbal skills
Be able to interpret data and draw effective conclusions
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:
SAP experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
