JSET Automated Technologies is seeking a skilled and driven Lead EPMS Technician to lead mission-critical projects across the Columbus industrial construction sector. This role requires strong electrical theory knowledge, practical field experience, and a leadership mindset to support our rapidly growing EPMS division.

We're looking for someone ready to roll up their sleeves, mentor others, and manage systems that must operate with zero downtime.

What You'll Do

Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of EPMS systems for industrial and data center environments

Oversee and mentor a team of Controls Technicians across multiple active projects

Create EPMS projects using Ignition software templates

Troubleshoot advanced technical issues under pressure with precision and clarity

Attend project meetings with vendors, GCs, and customers to ensure requirements are met

Configure devices such as meters, gateways, and network switches

Modify project parameters to achieve performance goals

Maintain clear records of commissioning activities using Procore

Ensure compliance with safety standards and work protocols

Must-Have Skills

Strong understanding of electrical theory and its application in EPMS and BMS systems

Solid experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus)

Familiarity with SCADA software (Ignition, Niagara)

Proficiency in computers, networking, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project)

Reliable, organized, and able to manage your own time and a small team

Experience with troubleshooting and working in live, mission-critical spaces

At least 1 year of hands-on controls or systems commissioning experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

Ignition Basic Certification or higher

Background in software development (Python preferred)

Two- or four-year degree in a related field

Prior experience managing BMS/EPMS commissioning in data centers
