$50,000 - $55,000 yearly DOEResponsibilities:

Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers

Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed

Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer

Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings

Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews

Job duties include addressing client issues through email, Zoom, and phone contact

Handle attorney calendars, set mediation and court hearings, draft legal documents, coordinate with other staff members on administrative matters, and be an active team member of our firm

Take care of administrative tasks such as maintaining an organized filing system and scheduling appointments for two attorneys

Handle time and billing for self and two attorneys daily, and be responsible for accurate accounting of WIP on a twice-monthly basis

Be willing to maintain a good work/personal life balance to be a happy and contributing member of our groupQualifications:

Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills

Talented communicator and writer

Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference

Candidates must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred

3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting

1 -3 years of family law experience

Must be an MN resident and able to work in Maple Grove MNAbout Company
