Press Brake Operator

About the Opportunity:• Job Title: Press Brake Operator• Pay Rate Range: $18-19.55/Hour• Location: Plymouth, MN• Schedule: 1st Shift, M-Th, 6am - 3:30pm and Friday, 6am - 10am, O/T is not required but may be requested.• Position Type: Temp to Hire Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

1-2 years experience working as a press break operator.

Tape measure skills

Hand Tools Comfortable working with Metal, plastics, and wood.

Previous assembly experiences desired.

Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to lift 50lbsDuties and Responsibilities:

Sets up and operates some types of sheet metal machines.

Read and interpret some mechanical drawings.

Plans, lays out and performs some types of sheet metal operations.

Fabricates all standard parts with average tolerances.

Lays out simple designs using shop mathematics.

Selects and uses proper tooling.

Programs some types of sheet metal machines.

Work with an average amount of supervision.

Record time on job assignments.

Complete job assignments on time.

Follow all safety rules; including using all recommended personal protection equipment.

Performs in-process and finished part inspection.

Performs preventative maintenance of equipment.
