- Provide primary cloud support and subject matter expertise to the government Chief of Cloud Services.
- Guide cloud utilization per DOD Cloud Computing SRG and Cloud CPG standards across all impact levels.
- Identify and analyze implementation risks impacting enterprise objectives.
- Participate in project meetings with Operations and technical teams.
- Oversee Cloud Service Provider (CSP) professional services.
- Review and develop cloud-related contracts (PWS, SOW, SOO, IGCE).
- Manage CSP cost tracking and invoice processes (AWS, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, etc.).
- Implement cost-saving initiatives (savings plans, retention policies, backup optimization).
- Develop policies to optimize cloud capabilities and virtualized environments.
- Assist in creating and maintaining multi-year cloud budgets.
- Promote cloud-first mandates and SaaS adoption aligned with DARPA and DOD strategies.
- Monitor cloud utilization and escalate issues as needed.
- Standardize network practices and address foundational IT issues.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud identity/access, collaboration, and other solutions.
- Plan lifecycle management for cloud and hybrid solutions including licensing and instance optimization.
- Transfer cloud knowledge to government and contractor ITD staff.
- Perform cloud cost analysis including planning, forecasting, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders-IT staff, program managers, security officials.
- Coordinate cybersecurity architectures with contractors and government agencies to align with federal and DOD mandates.
- Act as a Product Manager in SAFe for cloud projects, developing acceptance criteria ensuring solutions meet customer needs. Must have demonstrated 15 years of IT experience including 5-10 years in Cloud Operations, Cloud Architecture, and/or Cloud Security Architecture, with increasing responsibility in oversight of cloud managed service providers and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) environments and other cloud service offerings (e.g., SaaS, PaaS).
