Must have 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, trauma, resuscitation, IV, IV drips, oxygen demand support, blood products, basic telemetry/EKG.

Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIH), de-escalation training (HWC, CPI or MAB), PALS.

Required education: ADN. Schedule Information

Shift: Nights 7 PM - 7 AM.

Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.

Weekend hours: every other weekend and some holidays.

Call requirements: none.

Unit: Emergency Department.

Trauma Level: 3.

Facility Department/Cost Center: 16776 (780) ER SERVICE.

Role: RN.

Specialty: Emergency Nursing.

Patient population: all ages.

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, de-escalation training, PALS.

Common diagnoses: COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Cardiac and Neurological Emergencies, Stroke. Additional Details

Unit has 21 beds: 12 telemetry beds, 3 behavioral health beds, 5 fast track rooms.

Patient ratios: 1:5.

Equipment includes emergency equipment.

Electronic Health Record system: Cerner.

Patient population includes all ages.

Preferred skillset: Emergency Medicine.

Common diagnoses/treatments: COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Cardiac Emergencies, Neurological Emergencies, Stroke.

Personality fit: fast paced, multi-tasker, team player.

Dress code: any scrub color; no open-toed footwear, no spandex pants, no sweatshirts.
