The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of all production and facility equipment. This role involves performing preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, setting up production lines, completing necessary documentation, and addressing facility maintenance needs as required. The ideal candidate will possess a basic electrical background, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions effectively.

Responsibilities:

Machine Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical (basic), pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on a variety of production equipment, including tape machines and thermoforming machines. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform daily, weekly, and other scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on all production and facility equipment according to established procedures. This includes lubrication, inspection, adjustments, and component replacement to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Production Line Setup: Set up production lines according to specifications, including the installation and adjustment of necessary components and equipment. Ensure the line is properly configured for efficient and safe operation.

Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately complete run sheets, setup sheets, maintenance logs, and other required documentation related to equipment maintenance, repairs, and line setups. Maintain organized records of all maintenance activities.

Plumbing Maintenance: Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance as needed, such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and ensuring the proper functioning of water and other fluid systems.

Facility Maintenance: Conduct general facility maintenance tasks as required, which may include basic repairs to buildings, fixtures, and other infrastructure to ensure a safe and functional work environment.

Electrical Maintenance (Basic): Utilize a basic understanding of electrical systems to troubleshoot and perform minor electrical repairs on equipment and facility systems under appropriate safety guidelines.

Equipment Inspections: Regularly inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage, or potential failure. Identify and report any issues or concerns to the Maintenance Manager.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while performing maintenance tasks. Ensure that all equipment is operating safely and that work areas are free of hazards.

Communication: Report maintenance activities, equipment status, and any significant issues to the Maintenance Manager in a timely and clear manner.
