Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

1 Greet the public via phone and in person. Schedule appointments and referrals when needed. Interview Clients and assess situation regarding food, clothing, and assistance with bills. Follow through with meeting that need.

2 Greet donors and receive donations as they arrive. Provide receipts for donations as needed.

3 Help clients through the red tape of applications for public assistance programs from which they could benefit.

4 Be responsible for keeping client contact records and statistics up to date.

5 Make a point to stay informed and up to date on available resources in the community and make referrals as needed to benefit the individuals and families you may be working with.

6 Responsible for inventory, organization, cleanliness, and stocking food pantries daily

9 Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers. Secure background checks on all volunteers through the supervising officer

10 Responsible for the general cleanliness of the facility. Order supplies through supervising officer. Report needed repairs to supervising officer.

11 Be willing to assist co-workers when emergency arise.

12 Take Christmas applications and help with distribution of Christmas assistance and toys.

13 Maintain strict confidentiality as it relates to the work of the department.

14 Provide other services as required for the efficient functioning of the Salvation Army

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1 High school diploma or GED equivalent required

2 Highly organized, creative, strong work ethic

3 Strong computer skills

4 Exceptional understanding of Microsoft applications

5 Strong written and oral communication

6 Must pass a extensive background check.
