Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team and contribute to our mission of enhancing workplace safety and productivity through innovative safety cutting solutions. This position requires flexibility in shifts, primarily working from 2pm to 10:30pm, with the possibility of adapting to the first shift. As a Machine Operator, you will be instrumental in operating and maintaining various machinery, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Responsibilities

Operate various machines, including punch press, heat treat, and grinding equipment.

Set up machinery for daily operations and conduct safety inspections.

Monitor equipment during operation and perform necessary adjustments and repairs.

Execute welding tasks during setup processes involving spools.

Cross-train in all tasks within the Blades Department to enhance versatility.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Maintain and troubleshoot grinding and welding equipment.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.

Complete additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Stage and pick materials using a barcode scanner for both physical and electronic processes.

Manage reporting paperwork and data entry tasks.Essential Skills

Proven experience in deburring or grinding.

Proficiency in welding, particularly during setup processes.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.

2-3 years of machine operation experience, including setup and operation.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working with metal spools and razor blade manufacturing is a plus.

Solid experience in managing multiple priorities.

Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.

Full understanding of material storage procedures and practices.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $42000.00/yr.
