Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips. You will ensure that all certifications and COAs are present, properly store and distribute materials in designated areas for optimal organization and accessibility, and prepare and package materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping standards. You will also assist in completing production and inventory-related system transactions, provide support for Kanban component fulfillment and cycle count processes, and collaborate with other departments to fulfill production needs.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.

Properly store and distribute materials in designated areas, ensuring optimal organization and accessibility.

Prepare and package materials for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping standards.

Ensure completion of all production and inventory-related system transactions in a timely manner.

Assist Materials team with Kanban component fulfillment and cycle count processes.

Provide work order support to meet production schedules and assist in production prioritization.

Collaborate with other departments to fulfill production needs and respond to material requests.

Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Essential Skills

Material handling and inventory management skills.

Proficiency in ERP systems and cycle count processes.

Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.

Experience in working with work orders and warehouse operations.Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma required, AA preferred.

At least 4 years' experience in purchasing within a manufacturing and engineering environment.

Ability to problem-solve and influence others through data and strong relationships.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in MS Office applications.

Experience with ERP/MRP/LEAN systems preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse setting, requiring adherence to safety regulations and company policies. The work involves handling materials in a cleanroom environment and utilizing ERP systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $27.00/hr.
